Dear Church Family,
As you know we as a leadership met last night to discuss our way forward in the light of government guidelines due to COVID-19.
Firstly I want to bring us to a verse I read in Daniel ch 2 it says this "God changes times and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning." God changes times and seasons, we have to believe that in the middle of this season God is in control and he knows every outcome. So we stand with faith and love believing that God has got this. At the same time we act with wisdom and discernment which is very much what our leadership are doing in the decisions we have made. We love you and love our community and want to keep you safe and protect you. We also want to honour our government and act as they have asked us to.No decision is taken out of fear but out of love, the bible tells us that Gods perfect love drives out fear so we can take heart with that today.
Here are the decisions we have made.
All programmes as of the end of today (Tuesday 17th March) will be cancelled. We will have connect groups this evening and then take a break for a while.
With this in mind we do have a plan so here goes.
We will have church ONLINE on Sunday mornings at 10am!
We will be working extremely hard this week to get this sorted and we will update you on how to access this on Friday when God willing we will have sorted it out! We have never done this before so please be patient with us and send us some encouragement as we are ironing out some of the issues.
Also we will be making children's material available so our kids will still get some teaching if you as parents would do that with them that would be great.
Every household will receive a phone call every week from one of our team, to offer prayer and any practical support you may need esp for those who can't get out. This can only happen if we have up to date information for you and if you have filled out the GDPR form so we can hold your details. We want to be there for you, if you don't receive a phone call please get in touch with me firstname.lastname@example.org and I will sort that.
We want to stay connected and keep in touch with everyone and as you can imagine sorting everything is not a small task so please get in touch if you are struggling with anything.
We are having to postpone our Reach mission this year in light of what is projected concerning the corona virus. It is just a postponement so watch out for new dates as soon as we can set them!
Please join with me in praying over this season, I am actually believing as we have an online presence maybe people who don't attend church will see it and find faith. Gods kingdom advances in every season and this one is no different. Jesus said that He would build his church and I am believing he is just using different tools in this season.
Let's make the choice to make this work church, let's get on board and find Gods plan in the middle of what can seem like chaos. Lets choose to encourage and pray, to give and believe and when we get back together we will have one massive celebration believing new people will have joined us as well!
We love you, we are praying for you and we are believing Gods best over Generations church and our Louth community.
God bless you and your families.
We are currently running Christianity explored online on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm. To join us, please send us a message and you will receive instructions on how to connect.
